The Breakdown: Three Stocks on the Radar
Happy Monday! Let’s get this week started with some movers and shakers. Here’s a great list with some interesting developments to watch.
Honeywell ($HON): The Post-Spinoff Shuffle
Honeywell is making some adjustments after spinning off its Advanced Materials business, and it’s a classic case of addition by subtraction. The 2025 financial outlook has been updated, which might look like a step back at first glance. Sales forecasts are down to the $37.5B - $37.7B range, and adjusted EPS is now pegged at $9.70-$9.80.
There’s something notable here: the company is holding firm on its 6% organic growth target, a move that shows real confidence in its core business. Honeywell is also navigating a $470 million cash hit from a Flexjet settlement, but management appears to have it under control. With a strong focus on automation and industrial innovation, HON stands out as a potential long-term powerhouse. Resilience shines through this story—those are always ones to watch.
Strategy ($MSTR): The Bitcoin Believer
Strategy stands out in the world of crypto-related stocks. The company has gone all-in on Bitcoin, creating plenty of drama. A $1.44 billion reserve has been set up to help stabilize dividend payments, a smart move intended to soothe investor nerves in a volatile market.
With a massive holding of 650,000 Bitcoin (that’s 3.1% of the total supply!), fortunes rise and fall with the crypto’s price. Guidance for 2025 is based on Bitcoin hitting between $85,000 and $110,000. The stock has been bouncing around the $170 mark lately and is down 39% year-to-date, but the company survived the Nasdaq 100 reshuffle. This is a high-risk, high-reward play—the dual strategy of Bitcoin and enterprise software remains bold. It deserves attention, especially with the potential for MSCI index exclusion on the horizon.
Oracle ($ORCL): The Cloud Juggernaut
Oracle continues to impress, with the stock jumping 6.63% recently. The company boasts a $455 billion backlog from several massive contracts—yes, that’s not a typo.
The cloud infrastructure segment is booming, projecting a 77% revenue increase this fiscal year. Ambitions run high—Oracle is aiming for $144 billion in cloud revenue by 2030. The partnership with OpenAI to build data centers and integrate GPT-5 is a true game-changer, placing Oracle right in the heart of the AI revolution. For short-term trading, watch for a breakout above $196.73 or a move below $195.30, which could signal new support. Oracle consistently proves to be a major force in the cloud wars.
Here’s the watchlist for today—a mix of steady industrial strength, high-stakes crypto strategy, and pure tech dominance. Use this list as inspiration for further research and keep looking for those key opportunities.
Trade smart, stay informed, and have a profitable week!
Best,
The Stock Region Team
