Hey everyone, and welcome to your Tuesday watchlist!
Before we dive in, let’s get the important stuff out of the way. This newsletter is for informational and entertainment purposes only. I'm not a financial advisor, and this isn't financial advice. Please do your own research before making any investment decisions. Investing involves risk, so be smart out there.
Now, let's talk stocks. The market is always a wild ride, and this week is no different. I've got a few names on my radar that are showing some interesting moves.
Oracle ($ORCL)
Wow, just wow. Oracle is on an absolute tear. The stock just had its best trading day since 1992, and it's knocking on the door of a $1 trillion market cap. To me, this isn't just a random spike. The company's massive push into cloud services and AI is clearly paying off and getting investors excited. It feels like they've finally hit their stride and are genuinely competing with the big cloud players. I'm watching to see if it can break above the $328.33 level. On the flip side, a drop below $292.18 might signal it's time for a breather.
Dave & Buster's ($PLAY)
Here’s one that’s a bit of a head-scratcher. Dave & Buster's Q2 revenue came in just a little shy of what analysts hoped for. Honestly, the market can be punishing about misses like that, but I think there’s more to the story. People still want to go out and have fun, and $PLAY is a leader in that "eat-and-play" space. Their focus on new games and entertainment could be a real wildcard for a comeback. I’m keeping an eye on the $20.39 level for a potential breakout, but if it falls below $19.83, it could face more pressure.
Novo Nordisk ($NVO)
It’s hard to ignore Novo Nordisk right now. They just crushed their earnings report, and the momentum is undeniable. Their work in diabetes and obesity treatments is not just changing lives, it’s also fueling incredible growth. When a company is a leader in such a critical healthcare sector and has the financial performance to back it up, you have to pay attention. I personally think this is a company with a strong long-term narrative, given the global health trends.
Adtran ($ADTN)
This one is a more speculative play on my list. Adtran is a key player in the background, building the infrastructure for things we use every day like 5G and better broadband. There isn't a big headline driving the stock right now, but that's why it's on a watchlist. These are the kinds of companies that can quietly position themselves for future growth. As the demand for faster, more reliable internet continues, Adtran is a name I want to keep tabs on for any signs of a major move.
That’s what I’m watching today. The market is always moving, so stay sharp and look for your opportunities.
