Everyone, and welcome back to the daily rundown. It was a busy day for small-cap news yesterday, with some fascinating developments across multiple sectors. We saw everything from space-age internet hookups and biotech breakthroughs to some head-scratching financing deals. Let’s dig in and see what’s moving.
Today’s Watchlist
$CMBM - Cambium Networks
Cambium is integrating with Starlink to deliver enterprise-grade service. This is a big deal. Tapping into Starlink’s satellite network could open up massive new markets for Cambium, especially in remote or underserved areas. This feels like a smart, forward-thinking move that could seriously expand their reach. Definitely one to watch.
$VSEE - VSee Health, Inc.
This one is a bit of a maze. VSee entered into a warrant exchange with an institutional investor. They’re exercising some warrants for cash and exchanging a much larger chunk for common stock. This kind of financial maneuvering can be complex. While it might shore up the balance sheet, it also introduces a lot of new shares, which can mean dilution. I’m approaching this one with caution until we see how the market digests it.
$AVXL - Anavex Life Sciences
Anavex announced continued long-term benefits from its oral Alzheimer’s treatment, Blarcamesine. Any positive news in the Alzheimer’s space is significant, and this data looks promising, especially when compared to the control group. Biotech is always a high-risk, high-reward game, but consistent positive results like this can build serious momentum.
$PPBT - Purple Biotech
Purple Biotech hit a key manufacturing milestone for its cancer treatment candidate, IM1240. Getting manufacturing right is a critical, often overlooked step on the long road to drug approval. It shows they’re making real, tangible progress toward clinical trials. This is solid operational execution.
$UAVS - EagleNXT
EagleNXT is partnering with Makville to bring its drones to Egypt. International expansion is a great sign of growth. Entering a new market like Egypt could be a significant revenue driver if they can navigate the local landscape effectively. Keep an eye on how this partnership develops.
$SMX - SMX
SMX is partnering with Goldstrom for traceability in the precious metals industry. Using their tech to track gold and other metals from end-to-end is a very interesting application. It adds a layer of security and transparency that could become an industry standard. This feels like a niche but potentially lucrative vertical.
$NXPL - NextPlat
NextPlat was granted a 180-day extension from Nasdaq to regain compliance with the minimum bid price. An extension is better than a delisting notice, but it’s still a sign of a struggling stock. They have six months to get the share price back over $1. It’s a race against the clock, and the pressure is on.
$PRPH - ProPhase Labs
ProPhase announced a publication for its BE-Smart Esophageal Cancer study in a major medical journal. Getting published in the official journal of the American College of Gastroenterology lends a ton of credibility to their work. This kind of validation from the scientific community is invaluable for a biotech company.
$ERNA - Ernexa Therapeutics
Ernexa is partnering with Cellipont Bioservices for cell therapy manufacturing. This partnership is aimed at getting their ovarian cancer treatment, ERNA-101, into clinical trials. It’s another great example of a company taking the necessary steps to move from the lab to the clinic.
$LCID - Lucid Group
In a surprise move, Nuro announced a partnership with Lucid and Uber for a robotaxi, set to launch in 2026. This is a massive headline. Tying up with both a high-end EV maker like Lucid and a ride-sharing giant like Uber puts Nuro at the center of a powerful potential ecosystem. This could be a game-changer for all three companies.
$VCIG - VCI Global
VCI Global’s Smart Bridge has been appointed as the exclusive issuer for 1 billion XVIQ tokens. This is a dive into the world of digital assets and tokenization. It’s a bold move that plants VCIG firmly in the Web3 space. The scale is huge, but the crypto world comes with its own unique volatility and risks.
