Hey Stock Region Crew,
Happy Friday! What a week it’s been. The market threw a few curveballs, but we also saw some incredible moves. Before you head into the weekend, let’s break down the stocks that were making noise today and deserve a spot on your watchlist.
Today’s Top Movers & Shakers
$DTSS (Datasea)
Wow. Just wow. Datasea came out swinging this morning, reporting a staggering 199% year-over-year revenue increase, hitting $71.62 million for fiscal year 2025. You don’t see numbers like that every day. A nearly 200% jump in revenue is the kind of report that makes everyone sit up and pay attention. This one is definitely on my “must-watch” list for next week to see if it can maintain this momentum.
$GUTS (Fractyl Health)
Here’s a story with some real-world impact. Fractyl Health announced some genuinely groundbreaking data today. Their Revita® treatment is showing it can help people maintain weight loss even after they stop taking GLP-1 drugs (like Ozempic). This is a huge deal in the health sector. If they can solve the “what happens when you stop the shots?” problem, GUTS could be looking at a massive market. I’m really intrigued by the science and the stock here.
$MGN (Megan Holdings Limited)
We have a new player in the game! $MGN had its IPO today. This Malaysian company is all about aquaculture—developing, building, and maintaining shrimp farms. It might not sound as flashy as tech or biotech, but feeding the world is a big business. IPOs are always a wild ride, and this one is starting its journey on the public market. Let’s see how it finds its sea legs.
$SDM (Smart Digital Group)
Halt! $SDM was halted on its way up today after announcing a plan to create a diversified crypto asset pool. Anytime a company pivots or dives deeper into crypto, it’s a high-risk, high-reward situation. This news clearly got traders excited. Now we wait to see what this “asset pool” actually looks like. Keep your eyes peeled.
$ELBM (Electra)
Good news for the battery materials space. Electra announced its $30 million financing round was fully subscribed. This tells me there’s strong investor confidence in their vision. With the EV market and energy storage becoming more critical, companies that supply the essential materials, like Electra, are in a key position. A fully subscribed financing is a big green flag.
$BIAF (bioAffinity Technologies)
In the world of biotech, consistent progress is key. bioAffinity is adding more case studies that show the clinical value of its CyPath® Lung tech for early lung cancer detection. Every new piece of positive data helps build a stronger case for adoption. It’s a slow-and-steady-wins-the-race kind of story, but one with life-saving potential.
$CJET (Chijet Motor Company)
Chijet announced a private placement offering of up to $20 million. Raising capital is the lifeblood of many growing companies. This move could fuel their next phase of production or expansion. We’ll have to watch how they put this money to work.
$ENTA (Enanta Pharmaceuticals)
Mark your calendars. Enanta is set to present results from its Phase 2b study for an RSV treatment. Data releases are make-or-break moments for pharma stocks. Positive results could send this one flying, while disappointing data could do the opposite. A classic high-stakes biotech play to watch.
And that’s a wrap for this week! It was a day full of big revenue numbers, promising medical data, and fresh capital. Enjoy your weekend, rest up, and get ready for another week in the markets.
Happy trading,
The Stock Region Team
