Good morning, traders!
What a day it’s turning out to be. The pre-market was buzzing, and the action just keeps rolling in. There’s a lot to unpack, from big pharma deals to bold crypto plays. Let’s dive right into the names catching my eye today.
The Watchlist
$EVAX (Evaxion): This one kicked off the morning with a bang. They just out-licensed a vaccine candidate to none other than MSD (you probably know them as Merck). When a giant like Merck steps in and validates your tech, that’s a massive vote of confidence. This feels like a significant de-risking event for Evaxion. I’ll be watching to see if the early excitement holds and how the market digests the long-term value of this partnership.
$SPRC (SciSparc): SciSparc is jumping into the future. They announced an initiative using quantum computing and AI for 3D protein modeling. This sounds like something straight out of a sci-fi movie, but it’s aimed at revolutionizing drug discovery. It’s a high-concept play, for sure. These kinds of announcements can generate a lot of hype. The real test will be seeing them execute on this complex vision.
$DEFT (DeFi Technologies): Crypto-related stocks are lighting up, and DEFT is part of the action. They’ve made a strategic investment and partnership with Stablecorp, the company behind the Canadian-dollar stablecoin, QCAD. This is a smart move, positioning them deeper within the regulated stablecoin ecosystem in Canada. It’s a “picks and shovels” play on the growing digital currency space.
$PSTV (Plus Therapeutics): Here’s a healthcare name with a fantastic update. They secured a national coverage agreement with UnitedHealthcare for their CNSide® assay, which is used for metastatic CNS cancer. Getting coverage from a major insurer like UnitedHealthcare is a huge commercial milestone. It opens the door to revenue and wider adoption. This is the kind of fundamental progress you love to see.
$PSQH (PublicSquare): PublicSquare is looking to offer “Crypto Treasury as a Service” to its merchants. This is an interesting angle—helping other businesses manage crypto assets. It leverages their existing ecosystem and taps into the demand for crypto infrastructure. It’s a bold move that could pay off if they can successfully onboard their merchants.
$AIRJ (AirJoule): This is a cool story. AirJoule won a Net Zero Innovation Hub competition and will now collaborate with heavyweights like Google and Microsoft. The goal? Water-sustainable data centers. With the AI boom causing data center energy and water usage to skyrocket, this technology feels incredibly timely and important. A partnership with tech giants is a massive stamp of approval.
$NXL (Nexalin Technology): Nexalin just announced a new U.S. patent for its HALO™ Clarity device. Patents are the lifeblood of many tech and medical device companies, creating a protective moat around their innovations. This adds another layer to their intellectual property portfolio, which can be a key value driver.
$SGBX (Safe & Green Holdings): A little bit of house cleaning for SGBX. They announced a final resolution of litigation. Resolving legal battles is almost always a positive. It removes uncertainty, saves money on legal fees, and allows management to refocus on the core business. This news clears the air for the company.
$EPOW (Sunrise New Energy): Who doesn’t love a good turnaround story? EPOW reported a profit of over half a million dollars for July and August. After what has likely been a challenging period, seeing a swing to profitability is a fantastic sign. The market loves to see numbers moving in the right direction.
$CPOP (POP CULTURE GROUP): This one is a wild ride. CPOP is not just dipping its toes into crypto; it’s diving in headfirst. They plan to accumulate 1,000 BTC and are launching a massive “$100 million ‘Crypto Pop Fund’.” This is a pivot of monumental proportions, aiming to merge pop culture with the trillion-dollar crypto market. It’s a high-risk, high-reward strategy that is sure to draw a ton of attention.
$NITO (N2OFF): Wrapping up the day, NITO stockholders approved a merger with a drug discovery company. The target company is focused on resistant cancers like pancreatic cancer. Mergers like this can be transformative, completely changing the story and pipeline of a company overnight. Now the real work begins to integrate and execute.
What a list! From biotech to crypto to green tech, there’s something for everyone today. Keep your eyes peeled, manage your risk, and happy trading!
