The point about LUV's point to point model being vunerable to cascading delays is spot on. Their opeational efficiency has alway been their biggest advantge but this shutdown exposed how fragile that sytem becomes when ATC staffing collapses. Interesting to see if they diversfy their stratgy going forward.
